Wine Tasting Tours by coach
Mosel Dr Loosen
Multi-centre tours with good value wines to buy
Our 2012 wine holiday by coach is to Alsace, Champagne, Mosel and Pfalz to taste a fantastic array of wines at great estates.
The trips are half-board equivalent, but meals are not just at the hotel, they vary from good local restaurants, to wine estates, and from simple buffets to four course meals with a wine tasting. On non-included evenings our tour manager can advise on restaurants and there is always an invitation to join either of them for supper for a convivial evening.

Best Coach Holidays Tour Operator (winner)
Our clients are not traditional ‘coach tour’ travellers. The coach is a very convenient way of wine touring and we do everything possible to make the journeys enjoyable and comfortable. It’s a great way to travel and taste and to bring your wine back to the UK. There is a maximum of 30 or 32 participants on a coach that would normally accommodate up to 40/48, leaving empty seats for you to spread out.
Our Tour Manager serves complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits on the way and there is often an introductory wine tasting on the journey to the first night’s stop. Of course, you also avoid the many queues at busy airports with this kind of trip, and being escorted, someone else does all the navigating and driving – so no need to worry about whose turn it is to map read or drive!
We have excellent tastings lined up. The great thing is that you can bring back generous quantities of wines bought direct at cellar-door prices (up to 3 cases and sometimes quite a lot more) which is impossible if travelling by plane of course. Wine visits are chosen from a range of quality domaines and Houses that you can buy at.
That is why we have chosen these destinations. Burgundy can be very good value at the cave. Beaujolais cru is always a popular buy too. The coach’s luggage compartment will be pretty full on the return journey. (However, on the return from Germany it will be completely full as we will see some amazing bargains).
The trips are very suitable for singles as everyone shares a common interest and the holidays are escorted. The parties are groups of sociable travellers and a glass of wine soon gets everyone chatting! On these tours we are able to offer two single rooms without supplement. If you would be happy in a single room (as opposed to a double room for sole occupancy which is what the ‘single supplement’ covers) then please do book early.
The accommodation on each trip is at smaller 3* family run hotels in beautiful towns and villages and chosen to be well placed for the vineyards and to make it possible to offer an over all good value trip.
Finally, coach touring is environmentally friendly compared with other forms of travel! So, there is much to recommend a wine tasting tour by coach with A&C!View Other Ideas and Past Tours
