Champagne Tours with exclusive meals at the caves and visits to prestige houses

Our special Champagne Extra Tours are based in Reims and visit the famous caves and taste prestigious Champagnes over a long weekend.

A Champagne Extra tour is all about superlatives. You’ll visit leading caves of Champagne houses in Reims, Epernay and Aÿ for in-depth visits as well as some of the very best growers. This range of tours has been designed for those with a more passionate interest in Champagne or for those looking for more comfort and luxury all round.

These tours offer you the exclusive opportunity of lunching or dining at a Champagne house as VIP guests. Two gastronomic meals in atmospheric settings as private guests at Champagne Houses or at Michelin starred restaurants are included. Our comparative Champagne tasting on the first evening is of a mouthwatering selection of luxury prestige champagnes. The visits go into great depth and you will be offered Champagnes from the greatest houses, sometimes older wines and top cuvées.

Luxury travel from London

We have a more intimate party size so that you have even more space to spread out on the coach and to bring back more champagne – up to as many as 48 bottles per person if you wish. With a smaller sized group we are able to visit some cellars that are only accessible in a smaller party. We include the Club Class lounge on the ferry (a quiet comfortable private lounge where complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits and champagne are served).

Or join on location

It is also possible to join the tours on location in Champagne so if you wish to self-drive or go by train you may choose to do so. In which case you will need to be in Reims by 6.30pm on the first evening and the tour finishes at approx 3.30 pm at the last visit. Normally we can drop you back into Reims for your onward connection (there are regular departures by train to Paris taking just 45 minutes) or you can drive your car to and from the last visit.

We can also arrange transfers to and from central Paris or Paris Charles de Gaulle airport by Limousine, Taxi or Renault espace.
