Alouette Barge Cruise

The Alouette is the only Afloat in France vessel that is able to sail the shorter locks the tree-lined Canal du Midi that passes the most stunning scenery. The Alouette sails between Carcassonne and Béziers passing through the countryside and vineyards of the Languedoc-Roussillon and the land of the Cathars with their fascinating castles.

Visits include Toulouse, Castelnaudry and the medieval city of Carcassonne.

The Alouette provides the idyllic country hideaway and is perfect for families. There is a lovely sun deck, a spacious salon featuring large picture windows, a library, stereo and games and a dining area.

There are two spacious double/twin cabins, with en-suite shower rooms. The Alouette sleeps four. The Alouette has been totally refurbished in 2008.

How to book your barge holiday

We will be pleased to tailor make your travel arrangements to suit your requirements. Please call for advice.
The deposit is 25%, with final balance payable no later than 8 weeks before departure.

Private Charter

Prices are based on full occupancy and include: 6 nights private hire, all meals with wines, water, coffee, and all other drinks as required during the day; private chauffeur driven air conditioned mini-bus on stand-by for all local explorations and wine visits; bicycles. Rates for barges are on a shore to shore basis exclusive of transfers which can be booked at an addtional charge, please enquire
