Bordeaux Vineyard Walk
Discover some of the enchanting out of way parts of Bordeaux on this lovely seven day walk through the Aquitaine vineyards. We have a fascinating insight into the broad spectrum of Bordeaux life from small family owned chateaux to the majestic Grand Cru Classes of the Medoc.
We walk across the vineyards of Loupicac, Barsac and Sauternes, with a drive across the Entre Deux Mers to stroll through the vineyards there onto St. Emilion. The pretty town of St Emilion is our next base and from here wewalk to Pomerol and Montagne St. Emilion, then explore Fronsac and Bourg the next day. We then take the ferry to the Medoc to walk past vineyards such as Lascombes and Palmer in Margaux. One the last day we explore the Medoc, visiting a couple of good chateau and see others the way they should be seen, from their vineyards not from the road as everyone else sees them.
Walk rating: Generally easy going, with some longish sections.
