Germany

Classic whites, traditional villages and romantic river valleys

A Top Ten Tipple

As the eighth largest wine producer in the world, Germany is well worth a visit for any aspiring wine connoisseur. The German hills lined with lemon, fig and kiwi trees, dotted with medieval castles and traditional villages make for the perfect backdrop for an evening’s aperitif. While during the days we learn the vast history of German wines, as we get to know German classics and the not-so-well-known grapes too.

Refreshing Riesling

On the west side of Germany are the thriving vineyards of the iconic Riesling grapes. The unique taste brings mouth-watering hints of peach and fresh aromatic flavours. German wine production dates back to the Roman-era and has had plenty of time to fine-tune its technique. Unique to Germany you’ll discover wonderfully picturesque vineyards draped down south-facing river banks such as the Mosel and Rhine, key to producing ripe grapes in this cooler climate.
